Stay
Local accommodation
We’re based in the Blackdown Hills – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – just outside the village of Dalwood and around 15 minutes from the Jurassic Coast. It’s a peaceful spot, surrounded by nature, but close to great pubs, beautiful beaches and brilliant places to stay. Whether you’re joining us for a feast, Fire School or wellbeing day, we’d always recommend making a weekend of it.

Stay in Lyme Regis
We’re just 15 minutes from Lyme Regis – the “pearl of Dorset” – with its sandy beach, fossil-rich coastline and relaxed coastal charm. It’s a great base if you’re here for a weekend.
You can stay with our friends Lyn and Jason at Dorset House, a beautiful B&B within walking distance of the beach. Lyme Regis Stays also offers a collection of gorgeous award-winning properties for couples and small groups. If you’re planning a longer visit, Toad Hall Cottages and Lyme Bay Holidays have a range of properties to suit families and groups across Lyme and the surrounding area.

Stay rural
There are plenty of great countryside options nearby too. Andrewshayes Holiday Park is just at the bottom of our road, and the Tuckers Arms in Dalwood also has rooms. In the next-door village of Stockland, Quantock Barn sleeps six and includes a hot tub – it’s only five miles away.
Towards Somerset, you’ll find the Cotley Inn – a brilliant pub with rooms. For glamping, try Dimpsey’s shepherd huts (20 minutes away), or Mazzard Farm’s eco-friendly cottages near Ottery St Mary. And if you’re after something luxurious, The Pig at Combe is just a 20-minute drive. Jurassic Glamping near Axminster is a good, cost-effective option too.

Explore the Jurassic Coast
We’re just inland from a World Heritage Site. The Jurassic Coast stretches from Exmouth in Devon to Studland Bay in Dorset and is one of the richest fossil sites in the country. You can go fossil hunting at Monmouth or Charmouth, visit the Lyme Regis Museum to learn about Mary Anning, or just enjoy the stunning scenery.
Lyme Regis has a beautiful sandy beach, paddleboard and kayak hire, and the Shoreline Sauna right by the water. Other beaches we love include Burton Bradstock, West Bay, Seaton Hole, Cogden and Charmouth.

Things to do nearby
There’s plenty for kids and adults alike. Wildwood Escot has red squirrels, wolves, a brilliant Saxon village and a terrifying death-defying slide. Crealy is a full-on adventure park, and Axe Valley Wildlife Park is great for younger children.
For walks, we’re spoilt for choice. The South West Coast Path is right nearby, with two beautiful short walks from Seaton to Beer and Beer to Branscombe. Stonebarrow Hill to the Golden Cap offers amazing views – park at Langdon Hill, just past Felicity’s Farm Shop, and it’s a 45-minute climb. Trinity Hill near River Cottage is ideal for a peaceful dog walk, and Lambert's Castle is another local favourite for wildflowers and large open skies.
