High Grange at Home: Thai BBQ & Som Tum Feast
Collection only: £25 per person. 5pm till 7pm.
I say this every year but all I want to eat in January is Thai/Vietnamese/Japanese food. I crave freshness and spice and the biting heat of ginger. I want coriander and galangal and lemongrass. Every year it’s the same - after all the stodge of Christmas- the cheese, the chocolate, the multiple roasts, I demand the innate deliciousness of East Asia.
If you’re of a similar mind then you might enjoy next week’s first takeaway of the year. I’m making EXACTLY what I made for 30 friends at the VM Christmas party the week before Christmas… so…. 24 hour Thai BBQ pork, the most intense Thai curry sauce, with coconut, shrimp paste and all of those aromats mentioned above… plain, healing, jasmine rice- simply steamed, clean.. and my favourite side dish/salad of all time - green papaya, chilli, tiny dried shrimp and a sweet/salty/spicy dressing - Som Tum… the greatest. I’ll chuck in a bag of Thai prawn crackers too because they’re the absolute nuts. My very good friends Sush and Anna are this weeks testimonials
Sush: ‘That curry was SO good… if you do that as a takeaway can you post here please! @Luke V-M’
Anna: ‘I can't stop thinking about that curry’
Menu:
24 hour BBQ ‘Oldways’ pork
Coconut, galangal and lemon grass curry sauce
Steamed jasmine rice
Som Tum salad
Thai prawn crackers
If that sounds good to you, book quick as we’re only doing 50 portions and when they’re gone they’re gone…
