Summer is almost here and we’re excited to announce our upcoming events, including Alex Pole’s brilliant knife forging masterclass and three course lunch.

Introducing our very special Fire Suppers - informal evenings where we celebrate one ingredient. On the evening of Wednesday 11th May we will be eating whole lamb cooked asado style inspired by Francis Mallman’s seminal “Seven Fires”.

For our June Cookbook Club, Master Blacksmith Alex Pole will be doing a special knife-forging masterclass followed by a 3 course sit down meal inspired by his book “The Forge Kitchen”.

The daffs are out, the sun is shining and the air is filled with the delicious allium whiff of wild garlic- Spring is here! We think it’s nearly time to move our feasting from the Shippen (which has served us brilliantly over the Winter) to the outdoor feasting table. At the moment we’re taking it on a case by case basis depending on the weather!

It’s been a while since we’ve talked about High Grange Fire School, our outdoor barbecue cooking classes, but Spring has sprung (just don’t look out the window) and this weekend we are beginning again!

We are delighted to welcome Kathy Slack, chef and author of “From the Veg Patch” for a very special masterclass in growing your own vegetables, followed by a demo and 3 course sit down lunch.

We are delighted to announce that our first Cookbook Club of 2022 will be with James Whetlor, featuring his brilliant book all shot at High Grange - “Cooking on a Big Green Egg”. 9th March, 12-2pm, £45.

We are delighted to host our first High Grange Burns night feast, which will also highlight other delights that Scotland has to offer. Book now to save your space!

We have sat down and planned our entire schedule of feasts for 2022 which are available to book now! Beginning with Burns night in January, via Valentine’s night, we then feast again outside for our monthly signature feasts from March onwards. These sell out quickly so book in soon!

If you’re as knackered as we are this Christmas, we thought we’d remind you of all our wellbeing and creative class offerings, to soothe you into the New Year, including a relaxing retreat, beauty pop up days, yoga, reiki, pilates and in situ therapists.

Introducing our new Cookbook Club - taking one of our favourite cookbooks, and using all the intricacy and attention to detail of our Feast nights but at half the price. An informal, two course lunch with inspiration and chat about our favourite cooks. The first is Feast by Annisa Helou - a culinary delight of Middle Eastern sharing food.

Hannah at Mandala Mini Deserts is hosting a Terranium workshop in the Shippen in October. Using a selection of unusual cacti and succulents, and adding natural elements like driftwood, sand and crystals, you can build and create your own mini desert.
